Which plan is right for you? |
Health insurance comes in many different forms and we have outlined 2 them for you below. Discover which low cost health insurance is best for you and your family:
Fee-Service Plan: Seen as the most traditional form of health insurance, a fee for service plan is very common. This type of insurance pays for only part of your hospital or medical bills and you have to pay the rest of the fee, known as your deductible. For example, if you have a $1000 medical bill and your deductible was $300 you would only be required to pay the $300 and the health insurance company will pay for the remaining $700.
HMO Plans: HMO stands for health maintenance organization and requires a monthly fee to belong. This type of health insurance requires you to go to certain doctors if you want them to pay the bill. You will sometimes have to pay a small fee known as a co-pay when you visit your doctor or if you are admitted to a hospital. HMOs encourage regular check-ups so they usually cover all things considered preventative care.
As you can see there is a difference between the two most popular types of health insurance. Talk with your family and decide which one is best for you.
